Starting to Lay on the Stump

Hi everyone,

Just a short update today. We're now at day six post-surgery and we had another long night where Dino was up every hour. Having your sleep interrupted so many nights in a row is truly painful. We have a healthy new respect for new parents over here.

Dino had a better day though. The seroma looks to be improving already, and he has started gingerly laying on his stump-side for a few minutes at a time. When he does, he stretches his remaining back leg out luxuriously. The incision continues to look good - swelling has gone down and there isn't much bruising at all. We are very pleased with this progress. We have an appointment next week to have the sutures removed. I think I'll find out then when we start chemotherapy. We are also expecting the results back from the biopsy of the leg. I think this will tell us whether the cancer has metastasized, but I am not sure.

We are very pleased that the GoFundMe for Dino's vet expenses has now exceeded $4,800! This is such a huge relief and huge help for us. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. We really can't say how much we appreciate it.

That's all for now. A couple of photos of Dino from today are below.
