One Week After First Chemo

We have set up a GoFundMe for Dino's veterinary expenses, and we're a little over halfway to our goal! Please consider helping us out.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the less-frequent blog posts - I am now back at work full-time and our days are full of smaller progress steps, so there is less to report on. But Dino continues to do well! We are now one-week out from the first chemo session, and Dino is feeling great!

Other than the brief bit of diarrhea on the third day after chemo, Dino has done great. As of yesterday his energy levels are back up, and he's been loving being a bit more active.

Today we went to the local vet clinic for a blood draw. Throughout chemo, Dino needs to have his blood cell counts checked frequently. Everyone at the clinic was very excited to see Dino, and he got lots of love. I got lots of advice on helping him stay slim and build the muscle in the remaining rear leg.

Dino is still not sleeping well through the night, I think mostly due to the cone. I am going to look into some of that bitter spray to stop dogs from licking. Maybe Dino and I will pop into the pet store this evening.

That's all for now. As always, thanks for reading and thank you for your support! Every time someone reaches out to us about Dino, it means so much to us.
