Hello everyone,
I wanted this to be an exciting, happy update to let you know that Dino has finished his chemotherapy. Unfortunately at his oncology appointment last Thursday, we found out that the cancer has spread to Dino’s lungs. I want to share more details with you all, but right now it is very painful, so I will simply share what I sent out to our very generous and kind GoFundMe donors:
The oncologist gave us some options, but ultimately recommended that we do not pursue further treatments, and instead focus on making Dino comfortable and enjoying our final months together.
Currently Dino is very strong - the tumours in his lungs are small and do not yet impact his breathing or oxygen intake. We are going to take it day by day and try to enjoy every moment together. Dino is happy, strong, and loves life so much. We will continue to adventure with him and share good times for as long as he is comfortable.
We are so proud of Dino and the progress he has made. He has come so far, and accomplished so much. Even though the outcome isn’t what we wanted, Dino still completed chemo and we are so incredibly proud of him. He has been so brave and so strong every step of the way.
